Linda Simon is an Industrial/Organizational psychologist specializing in Human Resources management. Linda has worked in all areas of human capital, focusing on leadership development and talent management. Her expertise spans several industries, including Consumer Products, Hospitality and Restaurants, Retail, and Media/Entertainment. She has also experienced a variety of organizational landscapes including early phase, high growth, turnarounds, and mergers & acquisitions.
Linda has held senior leadership positions in Human Resources and Talent Management across several Fortune 500 companies including, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Global Leadership and Learning for Walmart, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for AT&T, and Senior Vice President of Talent Development for DIRECTV prior to the AT&T merger. She also held senior Human Resource positions with Marriott International, Pizza Hut and America Online. Linda was most recently the Chief Human Resources Officer for Beautycounter.
Through her previous roles, Linda has a proven track record of building strategic HR functions, and world class talent management systems. She has developed frontline and leadership selection assessments and processes, designed and delivered leadership development programs and succession processes, and spearheaded culture and engagement initiatives. She has personally assessed and coached executives for over 20 years and has been certified in several assessment and leadership development tools.
Currently, Linda is leading Simon Consulting, a coaching and consulting practice specializing in executive coaching, leadership development, team development and strategic Human Resources development.
Linda earned her Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from Kansas State University, master’s degree in psychology from Pittsburg State University, and her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas. She currently resides in Southern California with her daughter.
