Erin Dowd is an accomplished Executive with a record of achievement in cultivating successful virtual relationships with numerous C level leaders in global Information Technology, Finance and Health Care. Erin thrives in intense business complexities; she is excellent at helping cross-cultural leaders simplify challenges and thoughtfully facilitating effective business outcomes through personal style, evolving operating models, shaping the workforce and building cultures where people excel.
As the Vice President of Human Resources with Vertiv and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Erin has extensive experience in working with global level one and two leaders to transform and manage change in businesses with $28B to $110B in revenue through more than five complex IT mergers and divestitures. She led people strategies in Technology, Finance and Operations groups ranging from 500 – 30,000 employees across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Erin partnered with business leaders through the management of change affiliated with diversity of thought, business evolution, talent development, performance management, and staffing intricacies.
Prior to her tenure in Information Technology, Erin was a Human Resource Director with Morrison Health Care (The Compass Group), partnering with leaders in over fifty US east coast based hospitals and through seventeen acquisitions. She influenced business leaders to build effective teams through significant change management initiatives.
Colonel, US Army Combat Veteran
Early in her career as a Logistics Lieutenant Erin partnered with senior US Army leaders deployed to Saudi Arabia and Iraq. In her second year-long deployment as a Training Development coach to Iraqi leaders, Colonel Dowd proved capable of bridging cross-cultural communication, leading, advising and influencing Iraqi leaders through high risk and complicated situations. She was a celebrated Airborne Commander of a Parachute Rigger unit. Erin was the State of Colorado’s Chief Instructor/Facilitator for the Command and General Staff College (developing senior military leaders) for several years.
Erin is committed to personal development, earning a MBA degree from Tennessee State University and a BS degree from the University of New Hampshire. She is a certified Leadership instructor with the Advanced Faculty Development for Joint Strategy Instruction, the Command and General Staff College, and the Combined Arms Staff School from Fort Leavenworth, KS. She completed Airborne and Air Assault schools. She is also a graduate of the Adjutant General Officer Advance Course from Fort Jackson, SC and the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course from Fort Lee, VA. Erin is certified through the Society of Human Resource Management, Human Resources Optimization Modeling and in Increasing Human Effectiveness from the Edge Learning Institute.
